Itinerary of Ultimate Wine Tour:
The “Hidden Gem” Hidden
down a dirt track lies Main Ridge – a small single vineyard estate
which is the first licenced winery of the region and created by one its
founding wine makers – Nat White. At Main Ridge, 40 year old Pinot and
Chardonnay vines provide exceptional fruit and enjoying a tasting on the
balcony is an experience everybody needs to try once in their lives.
The Boutique. Panton makes very small quantities of high quality wine. (You can not buy this wine in any bottle shops) For this tasting, you will be seated in a beautiful garden setting and shown through the range of their single estate wines by owner Karen Panton.
The Bush Setting Lunch. Currently ranked the 28th best restaurant in Victoria in the Good Food Guide, there is nothing quite like having a leisurely lunch at Polperro.
This award winning restaurant, nestled amongst the vines and shaded by Angophora trees, uses seasonal produce grown on the estate to create the a divine lunch experience.
We do not want to limit your choice at Polperro, so each person will be given $50 ($100 per couple) to order whatever food and wine they like.
The Iconic. At
the helm of Quealy Estate is Kathleen Quealy – a multi-award winning
wine maker and pioneer of the Mornington Peninsula. You will sample
these fantastic single vineyard wines that are expertly made by Kathleen
and then be taken behind the scenes into the barrel room to discover
the art of wine making.
The Grand Finale Is there a better way to finish the day than setting up deck chairs above the coast, watching the sun going down, and enjoying a selection of boutique beers, wine, and local cheese? The Flying Corkscrew team will access weather conditions for the day, and then take you to the part of the Mornington coast we think best. (Like the incredible Arthur’s Seat or the secluded Bushranger’s Bay).
